The Store-Xavier's On Campus Food Pantry-"Where Musketeers Take Care of One Another"

Food Insecutiry

The Store, Xavier's Food Pantry on Campus has been in existence since 2017 due to more and more students being impacted by Food Insecurity. Did you know that Xavier students were surveyed in 2016 and 2018 and of students living off campus or on campus in apartments (no meal plan), 23% identified as being food insecure? The problem is on our campus and your dollars help The Store be a solution for our students.

Why are donations necessary?

Usage of The Store, Xavier's Food Pantry on Campus has gone up 195% since we opened in 2017. We have had 219 students visit The Store this year. The Store has received corporate donations from Cincinnati Public Schools & UDF, partnered with new organizations like Last Mile Food, St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, and Permabuds. We have received large donations from staff in the Xavier Admissions, the Alumni and the Mail Center. We still need more because our students need more! Help us help them by donating! And there is a matching $10,000 gift this year! Every dollar helps and every dollar feeds or helps a student get hygiene and cleaning products!

A Xavier student said "“I was able to go as needed, to get several grocery items from the pantry. Although at first, I was embarrassed from stereotypes or by being judged by people, I could not change the fact that this pantry was a major blessing and extremely convenient!”
